Four Years

My Dad died four years ago tonight. Mom, Ted, and I were with him. He was the first person I had seen die. It was peaceful and strange at the same time. He was 85 years old, and he acted about 20 years younger.

I think he was in his 20's in this photo.

He adored the women in his life . . . . . especially my Mom. Every woman should be treated as good as he treated my Mom!

I miss them both terribly, and I know I always will . . . . .

Such a handsome man. I love that second pic, so sweet.
I'm so grateful that we have our memories. Sometimes they are bittersweet, but without them we wouldn't remember those wonderful people in our lives once they've passed on.
I'm glad you had such a wonderful man for a dad, and to remember now.

Your memories of the people that you shared true love with are some of the most precious things that you will ever have - more so because they are always yours and they will always fill your heart...my thoughts are with you on this anniversary.

To live in the hearts of those we love is not to die.

Celebrate the life...... then death has no dominion
