Holidays Made Easier!

If you've been in any store recently, you'll be reminded that Christmas is right around the corner. I want to encourage you to give creatively this year! You can support creative artists by purchasing items at sites like Etsy, or you can show off your own creativity by giving unique items you've designed through Shutterfly!

I've been a huge Shutterfly fan for many years. If you like to take a lot of photos from vacations, or other special events, you can quickly and easily create items like calendars, cards, canvas wall art, puzzles, and other great items!

I make several calendars each year as Christmas gifts. Once you enter in birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions, your list remains from year to year, and you can easily select which items you want included on the different calendars you create. Here was Ted's calendar from last year. Shutterfly is offering a new desk calendar this year that looks great!

Shutterfly's photo books are very high quality, and who wouldn't love a book to share with others from a special occasion like 8th grade graduation! This is a book I designed through Shutterfly for a friend's daughter.

There are so many different designs you can choose from when it comes to your holiday cards. There are folded cards, flat stationery cards, or flat photo cards. Here is a folded card that my cats gave to their friends one year. Don't laugh - my cats have more friends than I do!

If you have a business or Etsy shop like I do, it's nice to send a thank you type card durign the holidays to your customers. This is the flat photo card that I sent to The Cat in the Clover customers last year.

Now, you're probably saying, I can get cards cheaper at the store, or I get my holiday cards half price at the end of the year. And exactly how many people remember those cards? Don't you prefer receiving cards that have photos? I know I do. Don't waste your money on cards that people are going to throw away. The only cards I keep are the ones with the pictures! Here is another sample of the many designs that you can select at Shutterfly. This was one of our Christmas cards.

The best part about Shutterfly are the discounts, free shipping offers, free photo offers, and other freebie codes they send you via email. Many of the calendars I've done are buy one, get one free, so you can't go wrong!

If you're really on the ball, you can select from the many Thanksgiving cards Shutterfly offers! Each design lets you know how many photos can be included.

So, what are you waiting for? The photos are already in your computer - just upload them to an album on Shutterfly's site, and let the creativity flow . . . . . .

I'm going to have to look into this. I know my older daughter made a sweet album for her grandmother last year and I'd forgotten all about that option. I've never tried doing something on Shutterfly but am definitely going to see what I can dream up. Thanks for the idea, Laura!
