Birdies Reveal Themselves!

Well, the nest on the front porch wreath ended up being a bust - no mama bird wanted to sit on those eggs. But look at the nest under the deck. I finally saw the babies today! The nest is so deep, and I never heard any chirping, so I wasn't sure there were babies inside.

Isn't that precious? I only see two, but there may be more. Now the nervous time starts - making sure the dog doesn't get them when they fall out of the nest. Rocky usually wanders straight out to the grass and doesn't make the turn to go on the deck, but we'll be keeping a close eye out on these cute birdies!

Did you have any birds' nests at your house this spring?

Oh Laura, these are so cute! I'm sure you won't let Rocky get them either. Do you know what kind of birds they are?

Your blog make over is beautiful!

They are adorable and what a deep nest they built. We have a birdhouse in a tree and usually we hear the baby birds and see the parents bringing them food, but not this year so far. Our dogs will chase birds in the yard but luckily they are not fast enough to catch any. Hopefully Rocky won't notice them.
