Wasn't Meant to Be!

Coach Pitino in his good looking new suit wasn't enough . . . . . . .

Cheerleaders holding up those C-A-R-D-S signs a thousand times wasn't enough . . . . .

The Cardinal Bird firing up the crowd wasn't enough . . . . . . .

Winning it for the former coach wasn't enough . . . . . . .

The freethrows weren't enough . . . . . . .

We needed a real celebrity in the crowd!

It was fun to be there - despite the terrible traffic delay getting to Indianapolis from Louisville, and despite the ONE HOUR traffic mess in the city trying to get on the freeway to come home!

Michigan State beat us the way we beat Arizona on Friday! Congrats to the U of L Cardinals for a great season!

It might be the trash talk jinx. LG was trashing the Big Ten on Friday with Kevin on the phone. Stating there was no way Mich St could beat UofL. He is regretting that statement this morning. Phyllis

It looks like it was a fun game at least :)

I'm not a college basketball fan...but I am a HUGE Utah Jazz fan. So I totally feel your pain and your joy. There is nothing like being there. It's worth the traffic and the expense. The feeling of energy and excitement is like no other. I'm sorry for the loss...but what a great season you got to enjoy!

Very sad. Looks like you had a good time but not the outcome you wanted. Good news -- Lady Cards won their game tonight so they will move onto the final four. Go U of L.

Looks like lots of fun anyway. I think the only way to watch a ballgame is to be there in person.

Just catching up a bit on some of my reading from the past week or so. Laura, I love that poem you posted about the Rainbow Bridge.
It is so beautiful, and I like to think that's really how it happens for our sweet pets who have gone before us. I look forward to being reunited with the sweet pets I've lost.

It was a sad night when they lost but we did enjoy the ride. Thanks for sharing the pics with us!

Go Lady Cards!
